Samantha Fleck

I’m Samantha Fleck. I’m the oldest of five children. I have always lived in Georgia. I was the valedictorian for my high school, and I have a bachelor's degree in biology from Southern Polytechnic State University. I also have a bioscience environmental lab certification from Gwinnett Technical College.

I worked as an administrative assistant for Chrysalis Academy for a year and a half and as a cashier at Michaels for 3 months; it was a seasonal job. I then worked as an administrative assistant for Johns Creek Youth Football Association for 8 years. Most recently, I worked as a line server for Salata for 4 and a half years.

I volunteered at the Georgia Aquarium for two years, serving as a greeter and answering questions in the galleries. I also volunteered at Emory Johns Creek Hospital for 4 years, making informational packets for the labor and delivery department.

I started the art club at my high school. I made a painting of myself for my senior project. I enjoy going to art galleries and have been to the High Museum of Art many times. I took Introduction to Drawing in college and loved the class.

I like going out to restaurants and movies with family and friends and watching movies and shows at home with my family. I enjoy playing cards with my family; we play games like 22, crazy eights, and five card draw poker. I also enjoy reading fictional novels. The best book I have read recently was Fairy Tale by Stephen King. I like to play word games and candy crush.

I’m good with words. I have a 96 percent win rate on Wordle. I have a strong attention to detail which allows me to be meticulous when working on projects. I’m quick to pick up on new programs and projects. I am kind to other people and a good friend.

Now, I am a Data Management Associate at Ventures ATL. I’ve been working here since September of 2020. I’ve done projects for Cox, Keystone, Autism Society of America, Primrose Schools, and Roark Capital Group. My favorite project has been Keystone. I send out email surveys to their clients using Salesforce and Microsoft Outlook. I’ve learned to use new programs such as Power BI, SQL, and Folio while becoming more proficient in Microsoft Excel. Since working here, I have gotten better at asking for help when I need it and helping coworkers when they have questions.

Ventures ATL is a great place to work. I like my coworkers and managers. I have learned new skills working here. I love that I get to work on a variety of projects. It is a very supportive environment, and I can get help when I have questions and help my coworkers in return.
